Under the EC Distance Selling Directive, you have the right to cancel the contract for your purchase within 7 working days commencing the day after the date that the items were delivered. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract, nor will you have to pay any penalty. You cannot cancel your contract if the goods you have ordered are viewing cards and their subscription has been started. However we reserve the right not to refund the cost of shipping either paid for or free (we will deduct the amount it cost us to subsidise the free shipping).
To cancel a contract, write “Cancel Contract” on a piece of paper with your order details (a printout of an email will suffice). Package the items securely and send them to us with the invoice. We request that you email us at email@example.com to tell us that you are returning goods before you send them. 24 hours’ advance warning is required for returns. Our returns address can be found here.
We recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error.
When we receive the goods with the notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item less any shipping charge.
Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited to us from your credit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order, provided that the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
All items stocked and sold by us come with a 12 month manufacturer warranty unless stated otherwise.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

We reserve the right to withdraw any item or offer at anytime.
We try really hard to make sure that all our customers receive the items that they want, promptly and in the best of condition. Unfortunately this isn’t always in our control, and mistakes and breakages do happen. As proof of postage cannot be regarded as proof of delivery, therefore we would suggest that you use recorded delivery, registered post or a courier to send items back. On expensive items it might also be a good idea to insure the goods for their full value, as we cannot accept liability for any damage or lost items incurred in transit. Whilst at all times, we try to assure you of the best possible service, however in accepting this, your statutory rights are not affected or limited in any way.
All trade orders are subject to V.A.T at the current rate, once we have dispatched an item it cannot be cancelled or returned unless the item is faulty. All items are warranted for 12 months from date of purchase and are covered by the manufacturer, viewing cards are only warranted if the card chip becomes faulty, we cannot be held responsible for actions taken by the broadcaster or by the law of the land. All goods remain the property of us until payment has been received.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.
Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.
Value AV Limited is obliged under these regulations to offer customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product.
For example, if a customer bought a new satellite receiver from us we would accept their old satellite receiver and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.
Products are marked with this symbol above to remind you not to throw your electrical equipment in your bin with normal household waste but to arrange for the product to be recycled.
Contact us by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. So that we can provide you with a return reference and details of our WEEE recycling address. Please quote your ValueStores.uk order number and describe the item that is to be recycled. Please carefully package any item to avoid transit damage. We will then deal with the waste product in an environmentally responsible manner, at no cost to you. You can also take it to your local council recycling centre to be disposed in an environmentally responsible manner. We cannot reimburse carriage charges for this service.
